This page is the deals hub for Hy-Vee Weekly Ad: a single place to understand what kind of saving you are looking at, which verified deals are live this week, and how to plan a shop around them without chasing every offer at once. The full, department-by-department list for the current week lives on this site’s This Week page, which is updated when a new ad is confirmed. This page explains the system behind that list, highlights the strongest verified deals for the week of 26 October to 1 November 2026, and shows how weekly ads, short sales, buy-one-get-one offers, digital coupons and Fuel Saver items fit together. In short, this is the starting point for Hy-Vee deals this week.

How Hy-Vee deals on this site are organised
Hy-Vee deals on this site are organised the way a shopper actually plans: by the week first, then by the type of saving, then by department. The weekly ad is the backbone. It runs, in recent cycles, from Monday to Sunday, and it sets the sale prices for the week. Around it sit shorter and longer offers: a 3-Day Sale that runs for part of the week, a month-long ad that overlaps several weekly ads, and longer promotions such as seasonal or dining offers that run for weeks or months. On top of those sit two account-based savings: digital coupons clipped to your Hy-Vee PERKS® card, and Fuel Saver rewards earned on marked items. Knowing which layer a saving belongs to tells you its dates, its rules, and what to do if it does not apply.
That organisation also explains why a single product can appear to have several prices at once. The weekly ad may give it a sale price, a digital coupon may reduce the till price further, and the same purchase may earn cents off per gallon if the item is marked for Fuel Saver. Those are not contradictions. They are different savings, from different layers, and the pages on this site keep them separate for that reason: the Coupons page explains coupons, the Fuel Saver page explains fuel rewards, and the Next Week page explains what happens when the current week ends and no new ad has yet been published. That overlap is also why Hy-Vee deals can look different from one view to another.
This week’s highlights: verified Hy-Vee deals, 26 October to 1 November 2026
The highlights below are taken from the verified deals summarised on the This Week page, checked against Hy-Vee’s official weekly ad. They are the Hy-Vee deals most worth building a shop around, because they combine a clear saving with items that keep well or are used every week. Prices, promotions and availability may vary by store and online, as Hy-Vee itself states, so treat these as the verified advertised prices for the week, not as a guarantee for every store.
- Fresh meat and seafood: Hy-Vee fresh boneless skinless chicken breasts at $2.99/lb, and drumsticks or thighs at $1.88/lb. Chicken at these prices is the week’s clearest stock-up opportunity, because it can be cooked, portioned and frozen for later weeks.
- Fresh produce: avocados at $0.68 each and Cosmic Crisp apples at $1.68/lb. Buy avocados in small numbers at different stages of ripeness, and treat apples as the safer bulk buy, because they keep better in the fridge.
- Pantry staples: Chicken of the Sea tuna at 3 for $3.00, Hy-Vee corn or green beans at $0.88, and Ragú pasta sauce at $1.99. These are long-life items at prices that justify buying extra, provided you have storage space and will use them.
- Dairy and frozen: Hy-Vee butter at $2.99, Hy-Vee cheese at 5 for $10.00, Hy-Vee cream cheese at 3 for $5.00, Hy-Vee frozen vegetables at $1.98, and Blue Bunny ice cream at $3.48. The multi-buys here need a use-by check: buy the quantity only if the date allows you to use it in time.
- Frozen meals and treats: Totino’s Party Pizza at 4 for $6.00. This is a convenience buy, not a staple, so it belongs in the flexible part of a list, not in the must-buy section.
- Bakery and occasion items: focaccia at $3.99, scones at $5.99, jumbo loaded muffins at $5.99, a bakery cookie tray at $15.99, and a decorated chocolate chip cookie at $15.99. These are best bought close to the day they will be eaten, not stocked up a week early.
For the full list, including every department and the items not highlighted here, see the This Week page. The Hy-Vee deals highlights above are a starting point for a list, not a replacement for it.
The Hy-Vee deals sale types, explained
The weekly ad
The weekly ad is the main event. In recent cycles it runs Monday to Sunday, and it covers the full store by department: meat, produce, pantry, dairy, frozen, bakery and more. Prices in the weekly ad are the prices to plan around, because they are available all week and they are the easiest to verify in advance. When this site says a Hy-Vee deals item is verified for this week, it usually means it was checked in the weekly ad or in the official deals view for that week. The weekly ad also carries the date warning that matters most: the flyer dates and the viewer header dates can differ by a day, as they did for the week of 26 October 2026, where the flyer ran to 1 November and the viewer header ran to 2 November. If you shop on the boundary day, check the shelf price.
3-day sales
A 3-Day Sale is a shorter, sharper promotion inside or alongside the weekly ad. The sale visible on 30 October 2026 ran from 30 October to 2 November 2026 in the official viewer, and to 1 November 2026 in the deals hub view, which is another example of the boundary-day difference. Three-day Hy-Vee deals are worth checking because they often include items that are not in the weekly ad, or a deeper price on a weekly item, but they are also the easiest to miss, because they start and end mid-week. If a 3-day item is on your list, buy it inside its three days, not at the weekend shop if that falls outside them.
Month-long and seasonal offers
Some offers run for a month or a season, overlapping several weekly ads. The October deals visible on 30 October 2026 ran from 28 September to 2 November 2026, and longer promotions such as the Friday Pizza Special ran to 1 January 2027, Soup Season to 31 October 2026, Daily Dining Deals to 2 January 2027, and Wine & Spirits Specials to 1 November 2026. These longer Hy-Vee deals are useful for planning, because they do not disappear at the weekly changeover, but they also need a date check: a month-long offer that ends on 31 October will not help you on 1 November, however familiar it has become.
Buy one, get one free
Buy-one-get-one, or BOGO, offers give a second item free when you buy the first, and Hy-Vee deals pages show them with instructions such as Buy 1, get 1 free, and Add 2 to cart. The quantity is the point: you must take both items to get the saving, and the free item is usually the same product or a qualifying variant. BOGO is at its best on items you will definitely use twice, and at its worst on perishables where the second item spoils. Treat it like any multi-buy: check the use-by date and your storage before you take the second item home.
Digital-coupon deals
Hy-Vee deals with digital coupons are weekly-ad or shelf prices with an extra coupon saving on top, shown on deals pages with badges such as Save $0.50, Save $1.00 or $1.00 OFF. The coupon must be clipped to your Hy-Vee PERKS® card before you shop, and the card must be scanned at checkout, as explained on the Coupons page. A digital-coupon deal is therefore a two-step saving: find the price, then clip the coupon. If you only do the first step, you pay the shelf price and miss the second saving.
PERKS® member prices
Some items carry a lower price for PERKS® members than for shoppers without the card. The Hy-Vee deals view on 30 October 2026 showed examples such as bagels at a PERKS® price of $1.49 against $1.99 without PERKS®. Member prices are not coupons: they do not need to be clipped, but they do need the card to be scanned, so that the system knows you are a member. If you shop without scanning, you pay the non-member price, even if you hold a card at home.
Fuel Saver items
Fuel Saver items are marked with the Fuel Saver icon and a cents-off-per-gallon value, and they are explained in full on the Fuel Saver page. They are a different kind of deal from a price cut, because the saving is not taken off the grocery bill at all. It is loaded to your account as a fuel discount and redeemed at the pump. When you compare deals, do not compare a Fuel Saver value directly with a price cut: a 25-cent fuel reward and a $1.00 price cut are savings of different kinds, on different purchases, and both can be valuable on the same shop. That distinction matters when comparing Hy-Vee deals.
How to read any deal before you buy
Whatever the Hy-Vee deals sale type, four checks prevent most disappointments. First, check the dates: does the offer run on the day you will shop, including boundary days where the flyer and the viewer disagree? Second, check the quantity: does a multi-buy, BOGO or coupon require two, three or four items, and will you use that many? Third, check the exact product: size, flavour and variety matter, and trial or travel sizes are often excluded. Fourth, check whether the card is needed: member prices, digital coupons and Fuel Saver all depend on scanning the PERKS® card. A deal that fails one check is simply a deal for a different basket: adjust the basket or leave the item for another week.
How to plan a trip around the deals
A good trip plan uses Hy-Vee deals in the order that saves the most money with the least waste. Start with the must-buy section of your list: the staples you will use regardless of price, and check whether any are on a verified deal this week. Chicken at $2.99/lb, tuna at 3 for $3.00, corn or green beans at $0.88, and pasta sauce at $1.99 are examples where deal and staple overlap; buy those first, in the quantities you will actually use.
Next, add the flexible section: fresh produce, bakery and occasion items that depend on the week. Avocados at $0.68 and apples at $1.68/lb are worth adding only if you will eat them before they spoil, and bakery items at $3.99 to $5.99 only if they will be eaten soon. Then look at the tempting extras, such as Totino’s Party Pizza at 4 for $6.00 and the $15.99 cookie tray. If the budget is still comfortable, an extra is a pleasure; if not, leave it. Those are the Hy-Vee deals to weigh against waste.
Before you leave, do the card checks: clip the digital coupons for the items on your list, check that your PERKS® card or digital card is with you, and note any Fuel Saver items to scan at the register. At the till, scan first, then check the receipt for coupon savings and member prices. That weekly routine saves more than any single Hy-Vee deals offer, because it stops small losses: the unclipped coupon, the unscanned card, and the multi-buy bought in the wrong quantity.
Deal Problems, Solved
- Sale price did not ring up – check your own store’s ad version and the item’s fine print for size and quantity requirements.
- BOGO free item did not trigger – both items must be in the same transaction and match the deal terms.
- Digital deal or coupon did not apply – your PERKS card, app or phone number must be used at that checkout.
- Deal item out of stock – ask at the service desk about a rain check; store policies vary.
Frequently asked questions
Where is the full list of this week’s Hy-Vee deals? On this site’s This Week page, which is the homepage and is updated when a new ad is confirmed. This Deals page is the hub that explains the sale types and highlights the strongest offers; it is not a replacement for the full department list.
Why do some deals end on different days? Because Hy-Vee deals run as several overlapping offers at once. The weekly ad, a 3-Day Sale, a month-long ad and seasonal promotions each have their own start and end dates. An item can therefore be on a weekly deal until 1 November, a 3-day deal until 2 November in the viewer, and a month-long deal until a different date again. Always check the dates for the specific offer, not just the week.
Can I combine a weekly-ad price, a digital coupon and Fuel Saver on one item? In most cases, yes, where each Hy-Vee deals offer’s own terms are met. The weekly ad sets the shelf price, the clipped coupon reduces the till price, and a Fuel Saver mark earns a fuel reward. The Coupons and Fuel Saver pages on this site explain each step, including the need to scan your PERKS® card.
What should I do if a Hy-Vee deals item is not available at my store? Hy-Vee states that prices, promotions and availability may vary by store and online. If an item is out of stock or priced differently, ask in store whether the advertised price applies, and check the shelf price before you decide. Do not assume a deal from another store’s view will be honoured automatically.
When will this page be updated? When the next weekly ad is confirmed, the This Week page is updated first, and the highlights here should then be re-read against the new ad. The Next Week page explains the position when no new ad has yet been published.
A note on sources and accuracy
The sale types, the overlapping offer dates, the BOGO wording, the coupon badges, the PERKS® member-price example, and the Fuel Saver icon system were all verified on Hy-Vee’s official deals, coupons and PERKS® pages on 30 October 2026. The highlight prices for the week of 26 October to 1 November 2026 were checked against the verified deals summarised on this site’s This Week page, which itself was checked against Hy-Vee’s official weekly ad. No price on this page has been invented or carried over from an earlier week. When the next ad is published, the highlights should be replaced with the new verified deals, and the sale-type explanations should be re-read against the new offer dates. Not affiliated with Hy-Vee, Inc. Prices, promotions and availability may vary by store.
